BELTON, Texas – Recording two 9.0 scores, East Texas Baptist University competed with #11 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. UMHB won the meet, 267.795 to 209.895, as ETBU is now 1-1 on the year.
 
The Compulsory Event didn't start the way ETBU wanted it scoring just 21.90 points. They did receive one of their 9.0 scores in the event with a 9.1 in the toss heat. In the Acro Event, ETBU scored 22.50 points with their highest score an 8.05 in the 5 Element. They finished the first half with 24.05 points in the Pyramid Event with two 8.0+ scores. They had an 8.65 in the Synchronized and an 8.15 in the Inversion. They trailed UMHB, 94.50 to 68.45, at the half.
 
In the second half, ETBU started with 23.65 points in the Toss Event. They had an 8.25 in the Open and an 8.00 in the Synchronized. That followed with 43.325 points in the Tumbling Event. Their second 9.0+ score of the meet took place in this event with a 9.05 in the Aerial Pass. They also had an 8.20 in the Open Pass. The meet ended with a 74.47 score in the team event for 209.895 points.
 
ETBU will host East Stroudsburg on Monday, March 4 at 6:00 p.m.
