KERRVILLE, Texas – A program best 5-0 start continued as East Texas Baptist University took care of business in the Hill Country over Schreiner University, 8-1. The 5-0 is the best in program history.
ETBU jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play.
Sam Black and
Max Karseno won 8-1 at no. 1 as
Jacob Daniell and
Erick Van Zyl won no. 2, 8-0.
Slade Austin and
Kayden Lengacher then won no. 3, 8-1.
Karseno fell at no. 1 but Black took the no. 2 match, 6-0, 7-5.
Zachary Couch took a close 6-2, 6-4 match at no. 3 as
Orren Ladner won the no. 4 match, 6-2, 6-3. Austin then won no. 5, 6-0, 6-1, and Daniell won no. 6, 6-1, 6-2.
ETBU will take on Concordia University Texas on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Austin., Texas.
