KERRVILLE, Texas – Sweeping doubles play against Schreiner University, East Texas Baptist University stayed perfect on the year with an 8-1 win over the Mountaineers. ETBU is now 4-0 on the year.
 
Addy Seward and Monique Ybarra won match one in doubles, 8-3, followed by an 8-3 win at no. 2 from Bailey Smith and Jayde Childress. Isabell Duarte and Shyan Darr won then no. 3 match, 8-4, for the 3-0 lead.
 
Ybarra then took the no. 1 singles match, 6-2, 6-0, and Seward won the tiebreaking point at no. 2, 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) moving to a 5-0 lead.  Smith blanked her opponent at no. 3, 6-0, 6-0, and Duarte took no. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Childress fell in a tiebreaking match, 5-2, 4-6, 7-10, at no. 5 but Dunn gave ETBU their eighth point at no. 6, 6-4, 7-5.
 
ETBU will face Concordia Texas on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Austin, Texas.
