SEGUIN, Texas – Traveling to Central Texas for their fifth meet of the year in acrobatics and tumbling, East Texas Baptist University fell to Texas Lutheran University, 240.57 to 208.40. ETBU is now 1-4 on the year.
 
ETBU started in compulsory with 24.10 points and earned two 9.0s in the event. They scored a 9.30 in the pyramid heat and a 9.00 in the toss heat. In the acro event, ETBU then scored 21.80 points with a 7.75 as their top score in the 5-Element. They finished off the first part of the meet with the pyramid event gaining 25.00 points earning their third 9.0+ on the day with a 9.20 in the open. ETBU trailed TLU at the half, 84.45 to 70.90.
 
Scoring 22.95 points in the toss event, ETBU recorded an 8.00 in the 450 Salto as their top score. They then scored 39.75 points in the tumbling event. A fourth 9.0+ was scored with a 9.075 in the aerial pass. In the team event, ETBU finished with 74.80 points for a total of 208.40.
 
ETBU will host Mary Hardin-Baylor on Tuesday, March, 26 at 5:00 p.m. in Ornelas Gym.
