TALLEDAGA, Ala. – Facing off against both Talladega College and Saint Leo University in a tri-meet in Alabama, East Texas Baptist University split the meet to finish the regular season. ETBU defeated Talladega, 207.84 to 165.92, but lost to Saint Leo who won the meet with a score of 254.31. ETBU ends the regular season at 2-6.
 
In compulsory, ETBU scored a 29.05 with a 9.3 in the pyramid heat and a 9.45 in the toss. In the acro event, they added another 23.30 points with their best score an 8.65 in heat three. The pyramid event brought 27.50 points with two 9.0+ scores. ETBU had a 9.7 in heat two and 9.15 in heat three. ETBU's halftime score was 79.85.
 
The toss event gave ETBU 24.85 points with an 8.55 in heat three. ETBU only scored 35 points in tumbling as a 7.50 in heat one was the best score. The final event was the team event where ETBU recorded 68.14 points to finish with 207.84.
 
ETBU will participate in the NCATA Division III Championships April 11-13 in Wisconsin next week.
