MARSHALL, Texas – In their second American Southwest Conference game, East Texas Baptist University fell to Hardin-Simmons University, 4-0, in women's soccer. ETBU is now 3-4-1 and 1-1 in the ASC.
ETBU had difficulty breaking through HSU's defense, only taking four shots with two on goal. HSU took 25 shots with seven on goal.
Makayla Baxter and
Giselle Laredo had the shots on goal, while
Lenah Montes and
Grace Shurley provided a shot.
Cadence Tischler finished with three saves.
HSU scored all its goals in the first half, in the fifth, 11th, and 16th minutes, for a 3-0 lead. Their final goal came in the 44th minute, just before halftime.
ETBU will play on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 5:00 p.m. at LeTourneau.
