JACKSON, Miss. – A heart-breaking goal with 14 seconds left in the match ended any chance of a tie for East Texas Baptist University as they fell to Belhaven University, 1-0. ETBU is now 3-1-0 on the year.
 
ETBU took nine shots, with one on goal, while Belhaven had 20 shots with seven on goal. Gabriel Alvarez led the team with two shots, while Junior Lopez had the lone shot on goal. Ryan Lord recorded six saves, with the only goal coming in the final seconds.
 
Belhaven's Wesley Bloodworth had a late breakaway and found the winning goal from the left side as the clock read 89:46. It was the seventh shot on goal for Belhaven in the match. ETBU's only shot on goal by Lopez came in the 54^th minute. Belhaven had two shots on goal in the second half and five in the first half.
 
ETBU will host two matches this week with Schreiner University on Thursday night and Concordia University Texas on Saturday.
