MARSHALL, Texas – Helping East Texas Baptist University to their first win, Michael Roberts has been named the American Southwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. It is Robert's first ASC weekly award of his career.
 
Roberts averaged almost 20 points per game and helped ETBU to their first win of the season over Centenary.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Michael Roberts, F, Sr., East Texas Baptist 
East Texas Baptist Michael Roberts averaged 18.5 points, five rebounds, three assists, four steals, and one block per game, helping ETBU to a 1-1 record on the week. He had 18 points versus St. Thomas, with five steals and six rebounds, and shot 33% from the floor. In the win over Centenary, he posted 19 points, three steals, four assists, and four rebounds while shooting 57% from the floor.
