MARSHALL, Texas–Winning his second American Southwest Conference men's basketball weekly award this season is East Texas Baptist University's
Michael Roberts. Roberts played in one game last week recording 28 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Covenant College. The Senior from Denton, Texas, went 4-of-5 from the free-throw line and recorded three assists.

Michael Roberts scored a career-high 28 points and recorded 16 rebounds for his 12th career double-double in his only game of the week. He helped ETBU to its third win of the year with an 87-78 victory over Covenant, coming from behind, shooting 67 percent from the floor, picking up three assists, and two steals. He had a jumper at the end of the first half to cut Convenant's lead to three at the half, 44-41. With 3:19 to go in the game and trailing by three, he had a layup to cut the lead to one, 74-73. He then scored the final four points of the game with a dunk with four seconds left and then a steal and layup just before time expired.
