CONWAY, Ark. – Despite holding Hendrix College to two runs with nine strikeouts, no. 9/10 East Texas Baptist University didn't produce any offense as they dropped a mid-week contest to the Warriors, 2-1. ETBU left eight runners on base and produced only five hits. They are now 3-7 on the year.
Luke Finn went 2-of-2 with the lone RBI, recording a home run.

Nicolas Chavez, and
Dylan Burnaman each had a hit.
Tate Sloan took the loss in just one inning with one strikeout.
Campbell Williams started the game pitching two innings and recorded two strikeouts.
Braden Hodge went 2.2 innings with three strikeouts, and
Carson Speegle finished the final 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.
Hendrix took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a groundout with the bases loaded and one out. With two outs in the top of the third inning, Finn had a home run to left field with two outs to tie the game at one.
The bottom of the third brought the go-ahead run for Hendrix with one out. The inning started with back-to-back singles off Sloan and then a strikeout. A single up the middle gave Hendrix the lead, but ETBU ended the inning on the next batter with a double play.
In the top of the seventh inning, ETBU had the bases loaded with two outs, but a ground out ended any threat of tying the game. In the last two innings, ETBU hit into a double play, had a strikeout, two ground outs, and a flyout in the middle of the lineup.
ETBU will face Hendrix at home on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and play no. 18 Adrian College at 4:00 p.m.
