MONTEVALLO, Ala. – In their first stop on the road of their Spring Break trip to Alabama, East Texas Baptist University fell to the University of Montevallo, 235.975 to 161.20. ETBU is now 0-4 on the year.
 
ETBU scored 23.80 points in the Compulsory with an 8.55 in the toss hear and 8.65 in the Pyramid. They followed with 21.70 points in the Acro Event as the 7-Element was the best at 8.05. The Pyramid Event gave ETBU 25.05 points as they trailed at the half, 86.85 to 70.60.
 
After the half, ETBU started In the Toss Event scoring 21.15 points. The 450 Salto was the best heat with a 7.60. The best score in the Tumbling Event was a 7.350 in the 6 Element Pass as ETBU scored 33.25 points. ETBU then added 36.62 points in the team event for the final of 161.20.
 
ETBU will face Talladega College on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
