GEORGETOWN, Texas – Winning their third match in a row, East Texas Baptist University swept the University of St. Thomas Texas, 7-0, in Central Texas. ETBU is now 6-2.
BT White and
Slade Austin opened the match with a 6-1 win at no. 3 doubles.
Sam Black and
Max Karseno then won 6-3 at no. 1 doubles.
Jacob Daniell and
Erick Van Zyl had the closest match at 6-4 for no. 2 doubles as ETBU won the first point.
Jaco Snyman made it 2-0 with a 6-3, 6-1 win at no. 2 singles. White then won at no. 3, 6-2, 6-3. Black made it 4-0 with a 6-1, 6-4, victory at no. 1 and
Baptiste Berthier put ETBU up, 5-0, with a 6-1, 6-4 win at no. 4. Austin then won at no. 5, 7-6, 6-4, and
Fredrik Friberg finished off the match, 6-0, 6-2, at no. 6 for the 7-0 win.
ETBU faces Pacific University on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Georgetown, Texas, for their next match.
