MARSHALL, Texas – Moving to 14-0 at home, no. 1 East Texas Baptist University swept the University of Texas Dallas, 2-0, and 6-1 moving to 22-2. ETBU has a 60-game regular season home win streak dating back to 2022.

ETBU scored in the first inning when Cummings singled through the left side, allowing Bell to score after reaching on a fielder's choice. The Tigers capitalized even further in the second inning as Jones singled, stole second, and advanced to third on a wild pitch before scoring on Maddox's hit-by pitch. Morales then drove in another run with a single up the middle, increasing the lead to 3-0.
The fourth inning saw the Tigers extend their advantage. Ellis reached first on a fielding error, stole second and third, and then scored on a throwing error by the catcher, making the score 4-0. The fifth inning was another productive frame for the Tigers, highlighted by Bell's triple to left field, followed by an RBI single from Stum, and Melton's RBI double to left center, increasing their lead to 6-0.
Texas-Dallas scored once in the seventh inning, but EBTU secured a decisive 6-1 victory. The home team managed seven hits and committed no errors, while EBTU was limited to just four hits and forced two errors.
