A&T | ETBU Honors Seven Seniors in Final Meet of Year

MARSHALL, Texas – Finishing up the 2025 season at home against Missouri State University, East Texas Baptist University scored 188.365 points but fell to the Bears, who posted 202.56 points. ETBU also honored seven seniors in Gracie Stegall, Hannah Cantrell, Emily Blalock, Evan Garcia, Hannah Donnally, Meredith Griffin, and Kilee Davis.
 
ETBU opened the meet with 23.95 points in the Compulsory, scoring an 8.90 in the Toss Heat and 8.20 in the Pyramid Heat. They trailed MSU, 28.90 to 23.95 after the event.
 
The Acro Event was the best for ETBU as they scored 22.45 points to MSU's 21.35 points for the win. The 5-Element was the best heat with an 8.00 followed by a 7.40 in the 6-Element and a 7.05 in the 7-Element.
 
MSU pulled back away in the Pyramid Heat with 27.80 points to ETBU's 23.35 points. In the Inversion, ETBU had an 8.35 and then an 8.70 in the Open. ETBU trailed at halftime, 78.05 points to 69.75 points.  
 
The toss was the closest event of the night as MSU held off ETBU, 23.40 points to 23.00 points. ETBU achieved a 7.70 in the 450 Salto and then a 7.65 in both the Synchronized and Open Heats.
 
MSU maintained its lead after Tumbling, scoring 39.35 points to ETBU's 37.075 points. The 6-Element Pass by Maddie Lozano was the best score at 7.70. Eva Dickens achieved a 7.075 in the Open Pass, securing the second-best score in the event.
 
In the final team event, ETBU scored 58.54 points to MSU's 61.76, for a total of 288.365.
