AWARD | MBB | ETBU Has Three Players Earn All-ASC Awards

MARSHALL, Texas – Three East Texas Baptist University men's basketball student-athletes have earned American Southwest Conference awards for their play in 2024-25. Jason Justice, Michael Roberts, and Colin Roberts were awarded ASC awards for the first time at ETBU.
 
Michael Roberts was named to the ASC All-Defensive team and was an All-ASC third-team selection. He finished second in the ASC in blocks with 37, averaging 1.4 per game, and collected 30 steals. He averaged 11.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, making 46 percent of his shots from the floor. Leading the team with eight double-doubles, he had 10 or more rebounds in 12 games with a career-high 17 vs. Hardin-Simmons on January 16.
 
Justice earns his second career ASC award and first at ETBU on the All-ASC second team. He led ETBU in scoring with 481 points, averaging 20 points per game. He shot 44 percent from the floor and 79 percent from the line with 63 assists. In 13 games, he scored 20+ points and had 30+ points in four games. In his final three games of the year, he averaged 32.7 points per game with 34 points vs. Mary Hardin-Baylor and LeTourneau.
 
Colin Roberts made the All-ASC third team, averaging 8.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Making 53 percent of his shots, he added 11 blocks with 16 steals with two double-doubles. In the final regular season game, he posted a career-high 26 points and 14 rebounds vs. LeTourneau, shooting 58 percent.
 
ETBU made the ASC Tournament for the fourth time under head coach Chris Lovell.
