KERRVILLE, Texas — A scoring surge of three goals over 13 minutes in the second half gave East Texas Baptist University a 3-0 win over Schreiner in women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon in Central Texas. ETBU is now 2-1-2 overall.
 
Ryan McLain opened the scoring in the 64th minute off an assist from Caroline Smith for the 1-0 lead. Giselle Laredo doubled the lead in the 74th minute on an assist from Kady Spears before Mallory Duncan added another just three minutes later to seal the victory.
 
The Tigers finished with 11 shots, six on goal. Goalkeeper Cadence Tischler recorded one save for her third consecutive shutout facing six shots with one save.
 
ETBU returns home Wednesday, Sept. 17, to host Hendrix College at 5:00 p.m. at Cornish Field.
