MARSHALL, Texas – Defense took center stage Wednesday night as East Texas Baptist University and Hendrix College played to a 0-0 draw at Cornish Field. It is the fourth straight shutout for ETBU as they move to 2-1-3.
 
ETBU had several chances to break the deadlock in the second half but were unable to capitalize. Mallory Duncan fired a shot on goal in the 56th minute, and Giselle Laredo nearly gave ETBU the lead in the 83rd, but both attempts were stopped by the Warriors' defense.
 
Goalkeeper Cadence Tishler recorded her fourth shutout of the season and anchor a strong ETBU backline. Both teams took two shots a piece.
 

With the draw, ETBU remains unbeaten at home and will now have a Saturday matchup against the University of the Ozarks with the kickoff set for 2:00 p.m. It will also be senior day.
