TEXARKANA, Texas – Heading just an hour and a half north for two matches, East Texas Baptist University earned a win over the University of Ozarks, 5-2, but fell to NAIA's Texas A&M Texarkana, 6-1. ETBU is now 3-3.

ETBU earned one point, taking the doubles point, 2-1.
Mark Armbruster and
Erick Van Zyl won at no. 2 in a tiebreaker, 7-6, as
Jaco Snyman and
Jacob Daniell won at no. 3, 6-3.
ETBU 5, Ozarks 2
Taking the doubles point, ETBU started off strong in the 5-2 win over Ozarks.
Sam Black and
Max Karseno won at no. 1, 7-5, and Armbruster and
Erick Van Zyl took the no. 2 match, 7-5. Synman and Daniell then won at no. 3, 6-2.
Synman gave ETBU a 2-1 lead, winning no. 2, 6-3, 6-0. Armbruster then won the no. 3 match, 7-6, 7-0, and Van Zyl then won 6-3, 6-4, at no. 4. Daniell finished off the match with a 6-3, 7-6 win at no. 6.
ETBU will be back at home on Saturday to face Austin College at 1:00 p.m.
