MARSHALL, Texas – For the fourth time this season, East Texas Baptist University has shut out an opponent, winning 7-0 over the University of St. Thomas Houston. ETBU has now won their last four matches with three straight shutouts, moving to 6-3.
 
ETBU swept through doubles with three wins as Sam Black and Max Karseno won no. 1, 6-0. Mark Armbruster and Erick Van Zyl took the no. 2 match, 6-3, and Jaco Snyman and Jacob Daniell had a 6-2 win at no. 3.
 
Black had a 6-1, 6-2 win at no. 1 followed by a 6-2, 6-2 win for Snyman at no. 2 singles. Van Zyl won 6-2, 6-0 at no. 4 and Karseno took the no. 5 match, 6-4, 6-1. Daniell's was a closer match at no. 6, 7-5, 6-4, and Armbruster won a tiebreaker, 0-6, 6-3, 10-3.
 
ETBU will face Ohio Northern University on its spring break trip on March 9.
