MONTGOMERY, Ala. — On the final day of the Huntingdon College Classic, East Texas Baptist University couldn't over come an early deficit as they fell to no. 10 Adrian College, 10-3. ETBU is now 7-5 on the year.
ETBU had five hits it the game from five different players as
Jobee Boone recorded a RBI on a double.
Nathan Harmon also recorded a double for two RBI.
Kahne Nolen and
Judah Hill all had doubles while
Carter Nannini had a single.
Matthew Irwin took the loss going four innings giving up seven runs (five earned) with nine hits and five strikeouts.
Tyler Bogusz pitched an inning with one strikeout, two earned runs, and four hits.
Jake Schumacher went two innings with two strikeouts, no runs, and two hits,
Aiden Leonard followed with one inning and one strikeout with no runs and one hit.
Carter May finished the game with an inning of work with two strikeouts, one earned run, and two hits.
Adrian College took a 9-0 lead after five innings before ETBU scored. Harmon had a two RBI double in the fifth and Boone doubled in a run in the eighth for the final run.
ETBU will head to the West Coast next weekend for a three-game series with Pacific University.
