JACKSON, Miss. – Earning their fifth shutout of the year, East Texas Baptist University blanked Belhaven University, 7-0, improving to 8-6 on the year. It was the fifth match in a row that ETBU has played on the road that includes their Spring Break trip. They will be back home on March 31.
ETBU opened up the match taking the doubles point by sweeping every match.
Sam Black and
Max Karseno won at no. 1, 6-1, as did
Jaco Snyman and
Jacob Daniell at no. 3.
Mark Armbruster and
Erick Van Zyl won at no. 2, 6-2.
Snyman started with a 6-3, 6-3 win at no. 1 singles and Armbruster won, 6-4, 6-2, at no. 2. Van Zyl blanked his opponent, 6-0, 6-0, at no. 3 while
Baptiste Berthier won at no. 4, 6-0, 6-3. Daniell finished off a point at no. 5, 6-0, 6-3, and
Drew Van Wyk won at no. 6, 6-3, 6-2.
ETBU will be at home on Tuesday, March 31, when they host LeTourneau University.
