MARSHALL, Texas – Taking on NCAA Division II Henderson State University, East Texas Baptist University scored two points in the loss to the Reddies, 5-2, falling to 7-6 on the year. ETBU earned two points in singles play with one on a default win.
HSU took all three doubles matches but
Amelia Anding and
Fernanda Ruiz Burkart pushed the Reddies at the no. 3 match, falling 7-6.
In singles play,
Kristyn Dunn won the no. 4 match, 3-6, 7-6 (10-8), 10-8 for a point. Anding then won by default at no. 6.
Monique Ybarra had a close match at no. 1 but fell, 7-5, 7-6 (10-5).
ETBU will travel to LeTourneau University next Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Longview, Texas.
