Game 1: ETBU 7, DBU 1
The first fifteen minutes were played with both teams putting up good chances only to have the goalies prevent any goals. But in a span of fifty-four seconds, the Tigers found the net as both Laing (16:20) and Gruszka (17:16) capitalized on the openings to go ahead 2-0 after the first period.
The Tigers then upped their lead to six goals as
Riley Knott tallied his goal first forty-three seconds into the second period. Van Gemerden (5:19) and
Albert Wiggins (16:57) would tally their first goals of the game while Gruskza (18:50) notched his second of the game to end the period. Each team would score once in the first two minutes of the third period as

Skyler Spiller (3:07), who connected three minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead. Then, Zittel (10:57) would pick up his first goal of the season near the halfway point of the first.
