PREVIEW | @ETBU_Baseball Opens 2021 Season on Tuesday

MARSHALL, Texas – Opening up the 2021 spring season at home, the East Texas Baptist University baseball team will host NAIA program Jarvis Christian College this Tuesday night. Both games will be seven innings.

* Jake Miller finished with 11 hits last season and was tied for third with six RBI while recording three doubles.
* Nicholson was third on the team with a .348 batting average
* Corbin won two of ETBU's three games posting an ERA of 1.40 with 24 strikeouts in 19.1 IP.
* Peyton Miller led ETBU's pitching staff in innings pitched (27.1) and strikeouts (25)
* Collins finished tied for the team lead in home runs with two.
* Split their series with JC in 2017. Won 21-7 at home while falling 5-3 at Hawkins.

* Armond Barrios batted .333 (four-of-12) in the series with 5 RBI, 2 HR, and three stolen bases
* Zeke Holder batted. .333 (three-of-nine) with two RBI, one HR
* Robert Morales-Candelario batted .333 (four-of-12) with one RBI, two runs scored, one HR, and one stolen base.
* Alvaro Xavier-Pena has the lone win on the mound with a 3.46 ERA in 2.1 IP.
