Box Score SHREVEPORT, La. - Facing off with NAIA Louisiana State University-Shreveport, the East Texas Baptist University baseball team couldn't put together quality at-bats as they fell to the Pilots, 14-3, in seven innings. ETBU now stands at 15-7 overall.
The Tigers would only get three hits as
Jake Miller recorded two RBI off a home run while
Zachary McAdams had a RBI single in the seventh.
Colson Sledge notched the third hit for the Tigers. Zackary Pierce took the loss with 1.2 innings allowing four runs on two hits with one strikeout.
ETBU led the game off with a single by Sledge, but was unable to score. The Pilots would put up five runs in the bottom of the second inning to go ahead 5-0. Miller would continue his hot streak with a two-run blast in the top of the third.
It would be 6-2 LSUS after three innings following a Pilots run. ETBU managed a run in the fourth as McAdams drove in
Jase Jones. But the Pilots would take over from there scoring five in the fourth, one in the fifth, and two in the sixth before securing the win in the seventh.
ETBU will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face the University of Texas Dallas on Thursday and Friday. Thursday's game starts at 12:00 p.m.
