MARSHALL, Texas – Remaining in the NFCA National Top 5 after sweeping Louisiana College last weekend, the East Texas Baptist University softball team stayed as the number four in the NFCA Top 25 Division III rankings. This is the 102nd straight week ETBU has been ranked nationally.
ETBU received 176 points to stay in fourth. The only significant changes at the top were Virginia Wesleyan overtaking Texas Lutheran and previously number one Linfield College. Fellow American Southwest Conference member Belhaven University jumped three spots to seventh after spending the last two weeks tied for 10th. Birmingham-Southern went from ninth to sixth this week while Salisbury dropped from fifth to eighth in the nation.
The Tigers are on the road this weekend taking on Ozarks on Saturday and Sunday in Arkansas.
