MARSHALL, Texas — After a defensive stand in the first half, East Texas Baptist University (3-10) fell to Lewis & Clark (4-5) with a final score of 82-63 at Ornelas Gymnasium. Despite trailing by just four points at halftime, ETBU was unable to contain Lewis & Clark's second-half surge, which was fueled by their 9-for-25 shooting from beyond the arc. The Tigers' offense was led by their ability to get to the free-throw line, converting 21 of 28 attempts, but their efforts were not enough to overcome the deficit.

Michael Roberts scored 20 points and recorded 10 rebounds, leading the team with his field-goal efficiency. Jack Pease added 12 points and contributed nine rebounds, showing a strong presence on the boards. Orlando Gooden III posted 10 points, including two 3-pointers, before fouling out of the game. Christian Dews finished with six points and two rebounds, providing steady support in the frontcourt.

ETBU opened the game with a quick basket by Pease, but the first half saw both teams exchanging leads frequently. Roberts was active on both ends, contributing with rebounds and free throws, helping to keep the game tight. Despite their efforts, ETBU ended the half trailing 23–19 to the visiting team.

The Tigers made a concerted push in the second half, highlighted by Roberts' consistent scoring, including a layup at 8:38 to cut the lead to six. Despite this effort, Lewis & Clark's offensive efficiency, led by multi-range shooting, widened the gap. The half closed with ETBU trailing as Lewis & Clark outscored them 59–44 in the half. The game ended with Lewis & Clark securing an 82–63 victory.

The Tigers were unable to find their range from beyond the arc, missing all 10 of their 3-point attempts, while also converting just 26 percent from the field.
