ABILENE, Texas — In the first American Southwest Conference match of the season, East Texas Baptist University couldn't keep up with Hardin-Simmons University's offense as they fell, 6-0. ETBU is now 4-2-3 and 0-1-0 in the ASC.
The Tigers managed seven shots with five on goal.
Caroline Smith led ETBU with three shots on goal, while
Hannah Gradilla &
Kenadie Avants also contributed offensively with one shot on goal apiece.
HSU scored three goals in each half.
Cadence Tischler made nine saves in the match, facing 30 shots, 15 of which were on goal.
ETBU will return to action next Wednesday at 7 p.m. when they face Wiley University at Cornish Field.
