MARSHALL, Texas – History was made in Ornelas Gym on Saturday afternoon as the East Texas Baptist University acrobatics and tumbling team hosted #1 Baylor University. ETBU took on the new challenge against the storied program and came away with 161.95 points. Baylor University won the meet with 282.18 points.
ETBU's best event and closes competition to Baylor came in the Toss with three heats. ETBU scored an overall of 24.60 to Baylor's 29.90 in the event.

Madison Dyer scored a 8.75 for best score of the night in the open portion. ETBU scored a 7.75 in the 450 Salto and an 8.10 in the synchronized.
In the pyramid, ETBU combined for 21.10 points as the inversion scored a 7.90 while the synchronized also posted a 7.90.
ETBU will head to North Carolina and South Carolina on February 21-22 for meets against Limestone College and Belmont Abbey College.
