@ETBU_AcroTumb Finishes Season in Ornelas Gym

MARSHALL, Texas – Competing in their final meet of the season, the East Texas Baptist University acrobatics & tumbling would fall short of a win against #5 Converse College by the final score of 270.290-186.890. The Tigers end their season at 1-7 overall.
 
Starting in the compulsory event, the Tigers would finish with 23.20 points while CC had 36.70. ETBU's best event here was the toss heat in which they tallied a 9.15. ETBU then picked up 18.35 points in the Acro event with a 7.15 in the 6-element event. Through two events, the Tigers trailed 65.10-41.55.
 
In the pyramid, ETBU pulled in 23.85 points, which would be the closest event as CC had 28.75 points. After a 6.70 in the inversion heat, ETBU steadily increased with 8.20 in the synchronized heat and their team-best 8.95 in the open heat. The toss event saw ETBU put up 21.45 points as their synchronized heat was their best event with at a 7.40.
 
The tumbling and team events would see further separation between the two teams as ETBU would put 37.00 points in the tumbling event. The first event, the duo pass, would kick start ETBU with a 6.80 while the open pass led to them scoring an 8.35.
 
Entering the team event, ETBU tallied 123.85 points from the previous five events. With 63.04 points in the team event, the Tigers finished with 186.89 points.
