MARSHALL, Texas – Earning his second American Southwest Conference Special Teams "Player of the Week" award is sophomore Alberto Garica (Huntsville, TX). Garcia was a key component to ETBU's 31-28 win over Sul Ross State.
 
Garcia put ETBU up by 10, 31-21, with 6:20 to go in the game on a 33-yard field. That field goal was the difference as Sul Ross State scored with 2:41 left to pull within three points, 31-28. He was then 4-for-4 in extra points and averaged 57/5 yards per kickoff.
 
He now has three ASC awards with two players of the week (Feb. 16, 2021 – CoVID spring) and was All-ASC East Second Team in the spring. ETBU is currently 5-4 and seeking their seventh straight winning season in their final game of the year vs. Belhaven.
