2025-26 | A Year of Excellence for ETBU Athletics

 PREVIOUS AWARDS | 2016-17 l 2017-18 | 2018-19 | 2019-20 | 2020-21 | 2021-22 | 2022-23 | 2023-24 | 2024-25

The 2025-26 athletic season for East Texas Baptist University brought five American Southwest Conference Tournament Championships, eight overall American Southwest Conference Championships (regular season/tournament), four NCAA Tournament appearances, eight national tournament appearances, several ASC awards, and the second-best finish in program history for the Learfield Trophy. ETBU won four American Southwest Conference major awards and led the ASC in Distinguished Scholar-Athletes for the sixth year in a row with over 280 student-athletes on the ASC All-Academic team. In Academics, ETBU earned two NCAA Division III Elite Academic Awards at the National Championships, one College Sports Communicators Academic All-America of the Year and Top Division III Academic All-American, along with four CSC Academic All-Americans and one given an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship.

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

ETBU won five ASC Tournament Championships and three ASC Regular Season Championships this year, finishing with eight ASC Championships. They were also runners-up in women's tennis.

ACADEMICS

ASC DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR-ATHLETES

ETBU led the ASC for the sixth year in a row with seven Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Award Winners for their sports. ETBU has now produced 46 Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Awards over the past 11 years. In the past six years, ETBU has led the ASC with the most student-athletes winning the award. Along with the DSA awards, ETBU had over 280 student-athletes named to the ASC All-Academic team with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS

ETBU had four College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans this year in softball players Avery Holland (first team) and Makayla Menchue (first team), baseball player Connor Massimini (first team) and and volleyball player Graycee Mosley (first team). Mosley was then named the CSC NCAA Division III Volleyball Academic All-America of the Year and then voted as the top overall scholar-athlete as the Division III CSC Academic All-American of the Year. Both are firsts for the ETBU Volleyball program.
